May 5, SJSU Legacy of Poetry Day Poet Laureate Reading, including US Poet Laureate Juan Felipe Herrera, former CA Poet Laureate Al Young, and other local Poet Laureates, past and present. San Jose’s Hammer Theater Center, 8:15 – 9:45 p.m., following a special performance of Pachanga on the Paseo, a multimedia musical theater and dance performance created by Luis Valdez and Kinan Valdez staged in the Paseo de San Antonio.
